Thanksgiving Backcountry with Family and Friends
Posted by
onEvery year around Thanksgiving, we take some extra time to reflect on our many blessings and everything we’re thankful for. Family and friends is one of the biggest blessings in life. We’re grateful for all the moments we get to share with them and the cherished memories we create.
Now that we’re getting into the swing of our “new normal,” one of our favorite places to spend time with our family and friends is out on the trail, in the backcountry, or just in the great outdoors. It’s a great way to enjoy the world and all that Mother Nature has to offer. Hiking trails, backpacking, canoeing, both easy or hard, can lead us to some of the most beautiful places in the world.
Sometimes, staying connected with family and friends can be difficult at times. This holiday season while everyone is gathered together, why not start planning your next friends or family get-together. Our recommendation? A family or friends trip to the great outdoors. Or go all out and plan a trip to the backcountry! Keep in mind not everyone has all the supplies they need for an adventure like this, so we have some gift suggestions for you to consider for your family and friends this holiday season. Plus, who doesn't like some help when it comes to gift giving.
1. A Littlbug Senior or Junior Camp Stove, of course!
If they already have a Littlbug stove, here are accessories that make Littlbug Stoves even more versatile.
2. Fire Bowl accessory fit to the size of their Littlbug stove
3. Stove Pouch custom fit to the size of their Littlbug Senior stove or Littlbug Junior stove
4. Pot Sling - allows you to tune your alcohol burner and pot combination for maximum heat transfer
Are they all set with their Littlbug stove and accessories? We have some additional items that would be great for the family trip to the backcountry!
5. Backpack
6. Weather-appropriate clothing (think moisture-wicking and layers)
7. Hiking boots or shoes
8. Navigation tools such as a map and compass
9. First-aid kit
10. Knife or multi-tool
Make sure your whole family is prepared for the next family vacation (which should be a great adventure out on the trail, exploring the beauty of the world).
Where’s your next family or friend adventure going to be?
Stop Reading This and Go Backpacking
We’re serious. Stop reading, and go backpacking. Well, you don’t have to backpack, but find a way to get outside and enjoy it. Why, you might ask, would we want to tear you away from our website? Because we ultimately want you to enjoy the outdoors. And you enjoying the outdoors doesn’t involve [...]
