When it’s time to prepare for my next backpacking excursion, I inevitably have hard decisions on what to bring and what to leave behind. It’s a pretty incredible feeling when I can pack my Littlbug Senior camping stove and not even have to think twice. At 19 ounces, the Littlbug Senior Stove provides an incredible amount of cooking and warming power that I will use multiple times per day during the journey. While it does burn alcohol, it also efficiently burns wood, which means I don’t need to carry the additional weight of fuel.
I was always taught that part of the secret to packing efficiently is to not waste any space. The Littlbug Senior Stove is designed to wrap AROUND my sleeping pad. Whether I’m visiting a State Park, or exploring the wilderness, the Littlbug Senior Stove provides plenty of warmth and capacity to serve me and the entire group.
The Littlbug Senior Stove is our largest capacity stove. The stove is constructed with durable stainless steel, burns wood or alcohol, provides a stable and versatile cooking platform and is uniquely designed to wrap around a sleeping pad for easy storage and transport. Works with most commercially available alcohol burners (burner not included). Storage pouch available (see related products below).

Niiiice solution
Posted by GT on Nov 25th 2017
I use this one for winter and summer backpack/canoe travel when I need light but not ultralight. It is super simple, sturdy, efficient. Holds a 4 Qt pot no problem, heats fast, packs easy. I plan on getting the smaller one for when I want less weight. I am just getting used to a lighter style of camping, hence my Psuedo Gettin there, so keep that in mind.

Got it at Canadian Outdoor Equipment Co.

Great design. Excellent twig stove. Big enough to cook for a family of 4 on a canoe trip. Plenty of room to load larger/longer twigs (unlike Solo Stove Titan). Exactly fits contours of 30L barrel when tripping. Does not come with pouch (too bad!) but this can be ordered direcly from Littlbug website. As well, Trangia alcohol burner doesn't really work with the stove unless you have a "pot sling" to lower the pot (also available from Littlbug website). I'd recommend bringing along a light pot lid or pan to use as a base to prevent fire-scarring the ground. (Added by Littlbug Enterprises: The leave no trace Fire Bowl and hanging chain set is available from the Littlbug website.)

Very little smoke
Posted by TSA on Nov 18th 2017
The stove is very strong and easy to put together. It will hold a lot of wood as it is large, very little smoke as it is so well vented and tall enough to get a chimney effect. Water boils in 2 to 4 min. Really don't need much wood at all. Videos are available on you tube demonstrating the stove. Very sturdy, long lasting quality, made in USA. Backpackers may prefer the 5 oz Littlbug Jr version

No more fuel to haul
Posted by Unknown on Nov 17th 2017
This stove is well designed and works great. I have used it on several BWCA trips with large groups. It is like a small firepit. Just have a stack of trigs and you are set. It seems flimsy at first but it is not. No more fuel to haul, no priming, tinkering. The ultimate stove to survive in a post apocalyptic world, or camping trip. I bought this stove after spending a week in the bush carrying a stove that someone forgot to bring fuel for. We ate dry oatmeal.

Great leave no trace stove
Posted by Unknown on Nov 11th 2017
Great camping stove. Disassembles into four parts. Packs very compact. Assembly in about 15 seconds, very simple. Works as combined wind shield and pot/kettle support on top. A 8inch frying pan fits and still allows for putting sticks in while it's lighting. Sticks smaller than 2inches or so in diameter and 9-10 inches long seem to work best. Uses less wood than a campfire. All the heat is directed up under the pan. So far, seems rugged and durable. With the fire bowl underneath you have an excellent leave no trace campfire option. Also works with a trangia type alcohol stove. Happy with this purchase. The junior is too small for me. The senior is so compact I'd use this, although I canoe camp mostly.

Saves on fuel
Posted by Myra Arnold on Jul 19th 2017
Our first experience with the Little Bug was with wet wood in the Boundary Waters. That didn't go too well. Once we got some good dry wood it was much better. It helps to split the wood into 1-2" thick pieces. It cooks much more efficiently because the pot is so close to the fire and the fire is contained in a small area.
