Junior Fire Bowl

One of the most challenging aspects of Leave No Trace camping is building a quality fire for cooking and warmth that doesn’t leave damage behind. As a kid, I mastered the art of finding some firewood, locating a suitable chunk of earth and carving a chunk of terrain that could suit my needs. While that was effective, it didn’t exactly live up to the more preservation-minded camping ethos I strive for today.

When assessing my backpacking strategy, the Junior Fire Bowl and Junior Stove help me accomplish my Leave No Trace goals more efficiently than anything on the market. The bowl (3.8 oz) consists of four pieces and can be placed on the ground or suspended using the included hanging chain set (2.8 oz). Since pieces are made from stainless steel, this bowl is designed to last for years to come. Better yet, it’s easy to pack as it’s designed to fit in a Junior Pouch.
